CORN COB PENS Excuse Me, May I Borrow Your Corn Cob?
Willow Creek Wood Shop has begun producing pens made from real corn cobs taken directly from the field. We pick the corn and shell it with the help of an antique, hand operated corn sheller. Cob pens are unique with a great variety of texture and color, so some variation in the look of each pen is to be expected. They are difficult to create as the corn cobs are prone to explode in the process! After the cobs are collected they must be treated to harden the outer surface and produce a durable, lasting finish. The cobs are then shaped for a natural grip and further treated with a variety of attractive colors which are then packaged in its own gift box – perfect for a memorable gift. You'll probably need several to give to all those "corny" relatives! Available in 10 colors: Red, Brown, Emerald Green, Orange, Brass, Blue, Corn Cob Yellow, Natural, Purple and Turquoise
